Young Tosses Shutout as Tigers Blank Hornets, 4-0

Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific Softball team registered a 4-0 shutout victory over Sacramento State on Tuesday Afternoon, aided by a second-straight shutout performance from sophomore pitcher Marissa Young (8-5), the reigning West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week. Young tossed seven innings, allowing six hits, walking none and falling one short of her career high with six strikeouts.

Pacific struck first in the top of the second inning as Sydney Lahners drew a walk with one out and advanced to second on a throwing error by Hornet starter Savanna Corr (2-2) that allowed Melanie Habib to reach safely.
