Stockton, Calif. - In the opening game of the Aggie Spring Swing Invitational, Pacific (14-12) was defeated by Dartmouth (9-8) by a final tally of 2-1. Pacific dropped the contest despite a career high seven strikeouts by Marissa Young (6-5) and a seventh-inning rally that saw the tying run called out on the base paths.

Dartmouth starter Breanna Ethridge (2-3) set Pacific down in order in the first frame before Katie McEachern led off the contest with a single to right field against Young (6-5). Lourlin Lara then reached on an infield single and Miranda Greig walked to load the bases with no out.
