STOCKTON – The sweat was the result of her all-out effort.
The redness on her nose came from twice being struck during the game. The tears came when she and fellow senior Erin Butler shared a hug after both had played for the final time at Spanos Center.
Like she has during her entire career at Pacific, Hailie Eackles gave everything she had. The 5-foot-9 guard from Sunnyvale tied her career-high with 28 points and played all 40 minutes, but the Tigers came up short in a hard-fought 66-60 loss to Santa Clara to end the regular season in front of 544 fans on Senior Day.
