STOCKTON, Calif. - Emma Winkler of the Pacific cross country team was honored as a West Coast Conference All-Academic Selection on Wednesday.
The sophomore from Clarksburg, California, Winkler (Diversified, Curriculum and Instruction) has competed in five races for Pacific and has placed as top three Tiger finisher in every competition. The sophomore posted a career-best 22:19.7 in the WCC Championships this past month, which is the sixth-fastest time in program history.
35 nominated women's cross country student-athletes across all the conference's institutions posted a GPA of 3.50 or better, 25 of which recorded a mark of 3.
