Stockton, Calif. - Sem Verbeek won his eighth-straight match, but the No. 28 San Diego Toreros took a 4-1 decision over the No. 70 Pacific men's tennis team Friday at Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.
After an almost four hour wait for first serve due to weather, the Tigers and Toreros jumped right in to singles action.
At first singles, Verbeek improved to 8-0 in WCC action with a 7-6, 6-2 win over Uros Petronijevic. At second singles, Jordan Angus topped Daniel Alameh, 6-4, 6-2, while Jaan Kononov posted a 7-5, 6-4win over Miguel Diaz at fourth singles.
