USF topple Tigers in OT

LAS VEGAS — The Pacific Tigers found a way to get the game to overtime, but couldn’t quite finish the job.

Frankie Ferrari hit big shots down the stretch and finished with 17 points and eight assists to help No. 5 seed San Francisco hold off sixth-seeded Pacific 71-70 in overtime in a quarterfinal of the West Coast Conference Tournament on Saturday. The Tigers end their season at 14-18 after winning just four games last season.

Miles Reynolds topped Pacific with 20 points, while Jahlil Tripp scored 16 and grabbed 11 rebounds. Jack Williams finished with 15 points and seven boards.
