STOCKTON — The Delta College women’s soccer team is playing the No. 1 team in Northern California, which is undefeated in games.
It is a daunting task. But the Mustangs have made a habit of facing – and overcoming – daunting tasks.
Delta has been through a wild ride so far in the postseason, and hope to keep it going. The 13th-seeded, injury-plagued Mustangs have already shut out two higher ranked opponents in the playoffs and will visit No. 1 Fresno City College at 11 a.m. today. A victory will give the Mustangs its first state tournament berth in school history.
