Unearned Runs Sink Tigers In 9-1 Loss

Stockton, Calif. - In a midweek clash with the Towson Tigers, the Pacific softball team fell 9-1 in six innings to the east coast squad as five unearned runs hurt Pacific in a third inning rally for the visitors. Towson improves to 17-4 with the win while Pacific falls to .500 at 11-11 after 22 contests.

After Towson starter Blakley Thrower (4-0) and Pacific hurler Marissa Young (5-4) each tossed scoreless frames in the first inning. The Pacific offense supported the sophomore with a run in the second inning. After Haylee Moran-Rowen reached on an error to begin the inning, Melanie Habib chipped a single down the right field line.
