STOCKTON – Senior night for three University of the Pacific volleyball players was sweeter knowing there is a postseason in their immediate future.
After Pacific swept San Francisco 25-7, 25-20, 25-21 Tuesday at the Spanos Center, head coach Greg Gibbons told the Tigers what many had deduced: they had been confirmed for the National Invitational Volleyball Championships.
“It’s one of the reasons I didn’t cry tonight, because I know we’ve still got a couple more, at least one more,” senior libero Katrin Gotterba said. “Once I play that last game, that’s probably when it will hit me.
