Stockton, Calif. - The West Coast Conference announced their preseason poll today, with the Pacific Tigers picked to finish sixth in the conference in Mike Neu's first year as head coach. Pacific went 14-37 overall and 10-17 in conference last year, finishing ninth.
The Tigers return 17 players this year and add 14 newcomers to the team. Included in the returners is Gio Brusa, who was rated as the third-best MLB prospect in the league by the WCC's coaches. Brusa was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals last year but chose to return to Pacific for his senior season.
