Tigers hope to bounce back against Hornets

STOCKTON – Like a relief pitcher asked to close the ninth inning after giving up a losing home run in his previous game, the Pacific men’s basketball team must have a short memory.

The Tigers (2-3) will be on the court today less than 48 hours after their 77-67 setback Tuesday at Nevada with Sacramento State (1-5) next on the schedule at 7 p.m. today at Spanos Center.

“We need to put a 40-minute game together,” Stoudamire said. “It’s not necessarily about Sac State. The reality about our team, to me, is we compete hard, but it’s almost like we don’t compete hard until something happens.
