  • After two inspired performances against the West Coast Conference’s elite squad, the Pacific men’s basketball team struggled to find the basket and lost at San Diego, which entered the game in last place in the conference.
The Tigers were held to a season-low in scoring in Thursday’s 54-43 loss to the Toreros at Jenny Craig Pavilion.
Alec Kobre scored 11 points to lead Pacific (6-15, 4-7), which gave second-place Gonzaga and first-place Saint Mary’s quite a scare at home. The Tigers fell to 1-4 on the road in conference play, while San Diego (8-14, 3-8) won its second game in a row and split the season series with Pacific.
