Stockton, Calif. - In the opening game of the Louisville Slugger Invitational, the Pacific softball team was stymied by the No. 7/8 Oregon Ducks, who took home a 15-0 victory behind a no-hitter by Cheridan Hawkins (7-2). Hawkins struck out 13, surrendering two walks and two hit batters in the complete-game, five inning effort. Oregon improves to 18-4 with the victory while the host Tigers fall to 10-9 on the season in defeat.
Oregon used a five run opening frame against Cassidy Gustafson (3-2), highlighted by a Janelle Lilley home run to take an early 5-0 lead.
