STOCKTON -- For the University of the Pacific men’s basketball team, beating Bethesda 88-30 on Saturday at Spanos Center was a big deal.
Though it was an expected victory against a small school, it allowed the Tigers to insert senior Eric Thompson back in the mix before hosting three major West Coast Conference opponents.
It was Thompson’s first live action after sitting out the first 16 games due an ongoing Pacific-NCAA academic investigation. He was the last of three players to return to the team, joining Alec Kobre and Sami Eleraky, who sat out 6 and 12 games, respectively.
