LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Golden Coast Conference named senior captain Viktoria Szmodics Conference Player of the Week on Thursday.
Following a tough three-match slate at the Stanford Invite last weekend, the Nagykanizsa, Hungary native earned her second weekly honor following a team-high seven goals and five assists.
Szmodics made her goals count in the Tigers' match against the No. 4 California Golden Bears Saturday night having all three of her scores come off of power play drives. Her last goal would come at a pivotal moment in the game, cutting Cal's lead down to a slim 8-7 advantage with just 2:27 to go in the match.
