STOCKTON — Late stages of games have been problematic this season for the Pacific men’s basketball team, but not on Thursday against Portland.
The Tigers went on a 10-2 run over the final 2:19 of play to hold off the Pilots 70-61 in front of 2,502 at Spanos Center. Pacific (6-12, 4-4 West Coast Conference) limited Portland’s Alec Wintering, second in scoring in WCC play, to 15 points on a cold 4-of-13 shooting from the floor.
