STOCKTON — Desire Finnie usually has a chance to size up the competition before coming off the bench for the Pacific women's basketball team.
For the first time this season, the sophomore started Wednesday against visiting USF and was pivotal in the Tigers' 70-57 victory.
Finnie finished with career highs — 25 points and nine rebounds — as Pacific recovered from a "really bad showing" in Monday's West Coast Conference-opening loss at Santa Clara.
