San Bruno, Calif. - For the second straight week and for the fourth week this season, the Pacific Softball team has garnered weekly honors from the West Coast Conference. The conference office announced that senior second baseman Nicole Zapotoczny and sophomore pitcher Marissa Young, have been named the WCC Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.
Zapotoczny had a breakout weekend, despite the rain that washed out Pacific's final contest of the weekend. Zapotoczny tallied a career high five RBI against Sacramento State, striking for an RBI double and an RBI single in her first two at-bats before launching a three-run homer to center field in her third time up to give Pacific a commanding lead that thy would not relinquish.
