Softball Splits WCC Opening Doubleheader With Santa Clara

Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific Softball team garnered a split in the opening series of West Coast Conference play on Sunday, taking down Santa Clara 7-3 in the first of two before falling 7-5 in the night cap. After the pair of contests, Pacific sits at 6-30 (1-1 WCC) while Santa Clara is 5-30 (1-1 WCC). Pacific will now look to earn an important conference series win on Monday in the rubber match.

Pacific surrendered a first inning run against Marissa Young as Amanda Delfino led off the contest with a walk and scored on a Justine Garner single.
