STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific field hockey midfielder Ash Rutherford has been awarded the University of the Pacific’s Dochterman Outstanding Junior Scholarship, its was announced at Friday’s Faith Davies All-University Leadership Awards Luncheon.
The Dochterman Outstanding Junior Scholarship recognizes two students with Junior standing, who have made significant contributions to the university. In addition, those students selected demonstrate leadership in the classroom through strong academic achievement and involvement. They also serve as a positive role model for others outside of the classroom and work to influence positive change in the University community.
"Ash has been an inspiration for all of us throughout her time at Pacific in many ways – as a student, an athlete, and a leader," expressed Pacific Director of Athletics Janet Lucas.
