University of the Pacific’s softball team had a big day in Fresno.
The Tigers beat UC Santa Barbara 8-2 and UIC 4-0 on Friday at the Fresno State Invitational to improve to 7-3.
In the first game against Santa Barbara, Jessica Mabrey went 2 for 3 and hit her first home run of the year in the third inning.
Myka Sutherlin struck out 13 in a complete-game shutout in the second game.
