The Pacific men’s soccer team landed four players on the West Coast Conference’s All-Academic team on Wednesday — seniors Bob Groenendijk and Wouter Verstraaten, junior Mateo Gomez and sophomore Haden Hoel.
Groenendijk and Verstraaten both earned first-team honors to go with their All-WCC First Team All-Conference selections earlier this month while Gomez and Hoel both picked up honorable mention honors. To be eligible, a player must carry a 3.2 GPA while playing in at least half of the team’s scheduled contests while also being a starter or significant reserve player. Only student-athletes that have attended Pacific for a full year are eligible for WCC All-Academic honors.
