Pacific senior nets All-American honor

This week, Kriekie van Wyk became the second and last Pacific field hockey player to make three All-America teams.

Van Wyk was named to the Synapse Sports All-America Third Team, wrapping up a three-year career in which the forward compiled 61 goals, 22 assists and 144 points. As a senior, van Wyk had a shot-on-goal percentage of .667, which helped her post a .590 percentage for her career.

Van Wyk also represented the Tigers at the NFHCA Senior All-Star Game.

The honor for van Wyk comes after Pacific announced earlier in the week that it would be cutting its field hockey program.
