Pacific pulls away from Pepperdine with late push

Pacific women's basketball (13-6, 6-3 WCC) got back on track with a big win over Pepperdine today, 78-67.

The two teams entered the game in a three-way tie for third in the West Coast Conference and played most of the game as evenly matched on the court as they were in the standings. The Tigers held a tight 57-54 advantage at the end of the third quarter, but the Tigers ended the game on a 13-6 run to put the Waves away to sit in a two-way tie for third in the league with Saint Mary's.

Valerie Higgins helped lead the way with a bounce-back performance after she had just four points on Thursday against Loyola Marymount.
