The University of the Pacific women’s tennis team saw success on the final day of the Battle in the Bay Classic on Sunday at the California Club in San Francisco.
Anneroos Nederstigt and Danielle Willson, her partner from USC, finished runner-up in the doubles final. It was a tight match as it came down to a tiebreak to determine the match point. Nederstigt and Willson lost to Willson’s USC teammates, Constance Branstine and Ana Neffa, 8-7 (8-6 in the tiebreaker).
Meanwhile, Jacquie Tan defeated teammate and fellow freshman Georgia Townsend in a head-to-head battle in the singles consolation final, 7-5, 6-1.
