STOCKTON – Tristan Blackmon knows what it feels like to start a team from scratch and try to turn hopes and dreams into successes and victories.
He did it in college with University of the Pacific. And now he’ll do it again as a professional.
Blackmon was chosen by the Los Angeles Football Club with the third overall pick in the Major League Soccer SuperDraft on Jan. 19, the first Pacific player to be taken in the process. The 21-year-old defender graduated from Pacific in December, and immediately reported to his new team.
The LAFC is an expansion club, and everything is new.
