STOCKTON – Gary Barlow has been coaching football for a long time, and has learned that each team has its own personality.
So far the veteran coach likes what he’s seeing from the 2018 Delta College Mustangs.
Barlow has been impressed by the young and hard-working group, and the Mustangs will get their first chance to show what they’ve learned in those hot August practices when they travel to Oroville at 1 p.m. Saturday to play Butte College in their season opener.
The Mustangs, who are coming off of a 4-6 record last season, are coming out with two freshman quarterbacks and a defense which, while not exactly revamped, has been tweaked to be more aggressive.
