STOCKTON — It had been four years since the Delta women's volleyball team had dropped a game to the Diablo Valley Vikings, and the Mustangs earned another sweep during Big 8 Conference play Wednesday at Marcopulos Gym.
The 14th-ranked Mustangs won 3-0 by scores of 25-15, 25-21, 25-16 over the unranked Vikings (7-7, 3-4 Big 8), whose only lead was a 6-5 advantage in the third game. It didn't last long as the Mustangs (13-4, 5-2) went on a 7-1 run to record the sweep.
Freshman setter Gissel Larios was all over the court recording 33 assists, 17 digs, four kills, two blocks and a pair of aces.
