The Mustangs fell 6-3 to Modesto on the road Thursday, giving up five unearned runs in the process. Delta (32-7, 18-5 Big 8 Conference) finishes the regular season at home today at 1:30 p.m. against Modesto.
Zack Mathis went 2 for 4 with a double for Delta, and starting pitcher Robert Gasser went six innings with five hits allowed and seven strikeouts. He gave up three runs, all unearned.
Delta made three errors in the contest, and gave up three unanswered runs in the final three innings to let the game slip away.
