University of the Pacific’s women’s soccer team couldn’t pick up its first win of the season Thursday in Sacramento.
Sacramento State beat the Tigers 2-0, dropping Pacific to 0-5 on the season. The Hornets improved to 3-1-1.
The Tigers had just two shots in the first half and went 4-for-10 on shots-on-goal in the contest. Ryanne Molenaar had two good attempts in the second half, and Pacific goalkeeper Brenna Crump had seven saves.
The Hornets scored in the 28th and 69th minutes.

The Mustangs volleyball team will open the 2019 Delta Classic today with a noon match against Butte College.
