Local Roundup: Pacific men’s golf in 7th place after first day of Nick Watney Invitational

Two rounds into the Nick Watney Invitational, the Pacific men’s golf team sits in seventh place.

The Tigers shot a collective score of two-under par 566 over two rounds Monday at the Fresno State-hosted tournament, played at Fort Washington Country Club.

Senior Austin Fox has been Pacific’s top golfer through the first day of competition, finishing Monday in a tie for third place at eight-under par 134.

Fox trails the tournament leader, Long Beach State’s Hunter Epson, by just two strokes.

Pacific’s Casey Scott is tied for 32nd with a one-over par 143, and freshman Petr Janik sits in a tie for 35th overall with a two-over 144.
