The Bear Creek girls softball team took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and cruised to a 10-0 victory over Stagg in five innings Wednesday to remain undefeated in the San Joaquin Athletic Association.
Logan Asia was 2 for 3 with a two-run homer to lead the Bruins (6-1, 3-0 SJAA). Maiah Walker was 2 for 3 with a triple, and Shelby Shanks was 2 for 2 with a double.
Bear Creek pitcher Mia Zapata went all five innings, giving up two hits and striking out seven.
Stagg is 4-4-1, 0-2 in the SJAA.
