Last-second score spoils Pacific’s home finale

STOCKTON – GeAnna Luaulu-Summers and Desire Finnie did everything in their power to make their last appearance at Spanos Center a success.

Unfortunately for the senior Pacific players, a last-second shot by Loyola Marymount spoiled what could have been a great finish to a nice day.

Finnie led the Tigers with 19 points and Luaulu-Summers added 13, but Bree Alford delivered the winning basket as the Lions won 79-77 on Sunday in the West Coast Conference regular season finale for both schools. The WCC Championship Tournament begins Thursday at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. It was the third consecutive two-point loss for the Tigers (13-16, 7-11 WCC).
