San Francisco - The Pacific Track and Field team had a great showing at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival on Friday, paced by new school records set in the 5000m as well as the 3000m steeplechase, as seniors Mia Knipper (Morada, Calif.) and Lindsay Wourms (Camas, Wash.) etched their names into Pacific Track and Field history, breaking ground with big time improvements at Cox Stadium on the San Francisco State campus.
Knipper finished first in the fourth heat of the race by more than three seconds, finishing in 17:46.27, eclipsing the previous best set by senior Becky Grabow at the Distance Carnival in 2014 by nearly ten seconds.
