For the past week Merle Bass’s phone has been blowing up. Friends and family have wanted talk to him about his touchdowns and 15 minutes of fame.
After all, he is now a Netflix star.
Bass, a former standout wide receiver at Lincoln and Stagg, was one of four former San Joaquin-area football players that appeared on the latest season of Netflix’s "Last Chance U" docuseries.
"I got a lot of calls and text messages," Bass said. "I’m grateful for the experience.
