Stockton, Calif. - Pacific freshman Viktoriya Dzyuba was named West Coast Conference Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week Tuesday, the WCC announced.
Dzyuba, a native of Kharkiv, Ukraine, won both her singles and doubles matches this weekend as the Tigers swept San Francisco. At the number one singles spot, she posted a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Andrea Ka, a Preseason All-WCC selection, to move to 5-1 on the season.
Also against USF, Dzyuba teamed with Cristina Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz for a doubles contest and prevailed 6-3 over Thyra Taune & Borjeson, Hanna.
