Distance Runners Post Strong Times As Track And Field Opens SoCal Stint

Azusa, Calif. - The Pacific distance runners took to the track at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Cougar Stadium on the Azusa Pacific campus on Thursday night, with Mia Knipper (Morada, Calif.) pacing the Tigers in the 5K while Lindsay Wourms (Camas, Wash.) fell just short of her steeplechase mark. Elsewhere, Becky Grabow represented the Tigers at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays 10000m race in Norwalk, Calif.

Knipper crossed in a time of 18:12.55, her second best career time, short of her 17:46.27 at the SF State Distance Carnival on April 1st, but above her time of 18:15.
