San Luis Obispo, Calif. - Entering their fourth year in the sand, the Tigers' beach volleyball team earned a top-20 ranking as Pacific came in at No. 16 in the DiG Magazine's 2016 Women's Collegiate Beach Volleyball preseason poll, released today.
The Tigers were one of the first schools to join the fray as beach volleyball participants as the sport has become the newest NCAA Championship sport this season. In its first season as an NCAA-sanctioned sport, the inaugural NCAA Championships to be held in Gulf Shores, Alabama from May 6-8. Eight teams will ultimately qualify for the NCAA Beach Championships in May.
