The Delta track and field team competed at the CCCAA Norcal Finals this weekend at Modesto College, where the men’s team took third overall and the women finished sixth.
In the men’s competition, Kenneth Gonzales won the hammer throw with a mark of 168 feet, 10 inches. The men’s 400-meter relay team also won, with the group of Paolo De Los Santos, Dion Collier, Bashar Barksdale and Steve Taylor clocking in at 40.77 seconds.
Collier also won the 100 with a time of 10.73.
For the women, Caitlin McClain set a school record with a hammer throw of 164′9, good for second place in the meet.
