The Delta College men’s basketball team was in Rocklin on Tuesday, where the Mustangs pulled out a close win over host Sierra.
Behind Kimball High graduate Jhordin Mellion’s 12 points and Elijah Johnson’s 11, Delta beat Sierra 60-53.
Lodi product Spencer Monteiro added 10 rebounds for the Mustangs (6-8) who will play at 7:30 p.m. Thursday vs. Folsom Lake.

At Tracy, Cody Doell had 25 points and 10 rebounds while teammate JuWan Couey scored 20 points in a win for Elliot Christian. Nate Bond added 12 points and Nate Gotgotao-Washington had 10 for the Eagles (9-5, 3-0 Central California Athletic Alliance).
