STOCKTON — This week, the Delta College softball team lost consecutive games for the first time all season. The Mustangs were in a bit of a slump, at least comparatively.
As it turns out, Saturday’s doubleheader against Folsom Lake was just what they needed.
Delta won a pair of 8-0, mercy-rule shortened contests at Bucky Layland Softball Complex to snap its losing streak and improve to 28-5 overall and 15-2 in the Big 8 Conference.
To be completely fair about the Mustangs’ minor slip from the win column, their past two games did come against powerhouses San Mateo and Sacramento CIty.
