STOCKTON – Desire Finnie has scored in double figures in nine of the last 11 games for the Pacific women’s basketball team.
Head coach Bradley Davis says the 5-foot-11 sophomore guard from Berkeley has evolved into the Tigers’ go-to option on offense. But Finnie takes more pride in her play on defense.
“My main goal is playing really good defense,” said Finnie, who leads Pacific with 1.7 steals per game. “Since high school, I knew defense can help win games.”
Finnie likely will make her fourth consecutive start when the Tigers (8-9, 1-3 West Coast Conference) host Pepperdine (5-9, 1-2) at 7 p.
