STOCKTON — Sometimes it’s not about what you do right or wrong. Sometimes the other team just makes a big shot when it needs it the most.
Jaylen Franklin of undefeated Abilene Christian broke Pacific’s heart on Friday when he hit a short jump shot in traffic at the buzzer to give the Wildcats a 73-71 win in the Tigers Thanksgiving Classic at Spanos Center.
Trailing by 10 points at halftime, Pacific (4-3) came back, made a game of it and had a great chance to win in the final minute. And other than a mediocre night at the free throw line, the Tigers played well.
