  • STOCKTON – Tigers coach Mike Neu has seen his baseball team give up early runs and then miss opportunities to catch opponents.
    Pacific again gave up early runs in Saturday’s doubleheader against Northwestern but found a way to cash in on its scoring chances to sweep the Wildcats with a pair of 7-3 victories for their first wins of the season at Klein Family Field.
    Pacific closes out the four-game series against Northwestern at 11 a.m. today.
    “It’s really tough to sweep a doubleheader,” Pacific’s Neu said. “We talked about making plays and getting hits in big spots.
