The Delta College baseball team was able to beat the rain and fit a game in Sunday afternoon. Thanks to their five-run bottom of the ninth, the Mustangs were able to meet LA Mission too.
Dillon Tatum’s walkoff single capped Delta’s last-chance comeback, giving the Mustangs a 7-6 win over LA Mission at Delta College.
Anthony Lucchetti, Vinny Bologna and Jimmy McClenaghan all had doubles on the day for Delta (6-1), and the trio of Andrew Scheinert, Jose Holguin and Miguel Marin each had two hits.
Tatum only had the one hit, but it was the biggest of the day for the Mustangs.
