Baseball Alumni Report: Tigers In The Pros

Stockton, Calif. - The minor league seasons wound to a close this week and four Tiger alums all put exclamations on their strong years. Former Pacific players Gio Brusa, Tyler Sullivan, Brett Sullivan, and Taylor Murphy all played in the minors this year, with Murphy finishing the year at the highest level in AA. All four hit over .250 this year as well.

Murphy, a part of the Cleveland Indians organization, earned a promotion to the AA Akron RubberDucks after an impressive 98 games with the A Lynchburg Hillcats. While with Lynchburg, Murphy hit .267/.352/.444. He was fourth on the team in homers with 12 and third in RBI with 70 despite playing at least ten games less than any player ahead of him.
