CLEVELAND, Ohio – The John McLendon Minority Scholarship Foundation proudly recognized its eight winners of the John McLendon Minority Postgraduate Scholarship Awards Monday afternoon.
The McLendon Minority Postgraduate Scholarship winners will each receive a $10,000 grant to be used towards postgraduate studies in athletics administration.
Among the eight honorees is graduate senior volleyball player Alex Holt. Holt, a Sacramento, Calif. product, maintained a 3.89 grade point average en route to earning a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences. She served as captain of the 2018-19 Tigers volleyball team, a student teacher, the community relations assistant for the University of the Pacific's Beyond Our Gates Organization and is a member of the Black Student Union.
