STOCKTON — For as prolific as the Delta College women’s soccer team has been at scoring goals during its nonleague schedule, the Mustangs have also been steadily pounding the crossbar and posts on a constant basis to remain unbeaten.
Delta’s women defeated Evergreen Valley College 8-2 Saturday in the opening match of a doubleheader on Delta’s pitch, while the men fell 4-1 to Hartnell.
The women’s team wrapped up its nonleague schedule having outscored its opponents by a combined margin of 22-5. In the past two games alone, the Mustangs (4-0-1) have hit the crossbar once and the posts eight times.
