Bryan Murray traded Jason Spezza in July 2014, and then waited until June 2015 to make his next trade. Who do you think will be the first Senator traded this year? (No trades is an option)
Trevor: I do wonder if Murray will make any last moves as GM until he retires. I'll say that Jared Cowen is moved in January for a draft pick after he shows no progress.
Peter: This off-season's mild banter has me wondering if the Senators are ready to pull the plug on Jared Cowen, but I don't think they'll be able to make that deal happen during the season--if he plays well enough to have trade value, then maybe the Senators will convince themselves that he deserves another chance or two.
