The Ottawa Senators announced the signing of one of their 2020 second round picks today.
Egor Sokolov is one of the many prospects the Senators front office added to their pipeline during the 2020 NHL Entry Draft in October. Standing tall at 6’4”, Sokolov is a big winger who, at 20 years old, is expected to join the Belleville Senators whenever the American Hockey League can resume operations.
Sokolov has spent the past three years with the Cape Breton Eagles of the QMJHL, where he has racked up 191 points in 184 games - including 46 goals and 46 assists in just 52 games this past season.
